Nonprofit Financial Group of the Twin Cities (NFG)
Message
from the President
Dear Fellow NFG Members –
It is my pleasure as your new NFG President to thank Libby
Ungar, our outgoing president, for her time and dedication over the past
year. We had a fantastic program
schedule last year and I am looking forward to another great year for our group
this year. The Program Committee has
been working diligently this summer to schedule another series of timely and
interesting discussions for the upcoming program year. The underlying theme of all of this year’s
programs will be “The New
I would also like to thank our Steering Committee members,
Athena Mihas, Baron Broschat, Niki Sarenpa,
As members of NFG, you are also resources for each other through the networking and sharing you do at meetings and through the list serve. Thank you for continuing to share your expertise with fellow your fellow NFG members. As you look forward to this new program year, please inform the steering committee if there are topics that you would like to hear more about through our monthly meetings. Our goal is to continue to make the NFG a valuable resource for you as you serve our community.
NFG membership has grown over the years primarily through the recommendations of current members. With this growth the organization has developed a broader wealth of expertise (more members = more experiences & ideas to share). Please help us continue to grow by recommending membership to some of your colleagues in the nonprofit community who may be interested in the benefits of NFG. We will again be welcoming our guests at each meeting with a special drawing. Consider bringing a guest to one or more of this year’s meetings. They will get an opportunity to network with other nonprofit finance professionals, hear about a timely nonprofit finance topic, and perhaps be one of our lucky prize winners!
I look forward to seeing you at the September meeting!
Peggy Farah
NFG President 2010 - 2011
