NFG
Since 1989, NFG has provided opportunities
for networking, education, and professional development for financial managers
of nonprofit organizations in the greater Minneapolis-St Paul metropolitan
area.
Regular monthly meetings from September to November and January to June provide:
- Presentations
on topics of current interest
- Discussion
of common issues
- Guidance
on financial management techniques
- Updates
on accounting standards and legislative, and regulatory information
- Opportunities
to network with other nonprofit financial managers and related service
providers
In addition, NFG membership promotes improved financial management
and better use of organizational resources through:

Community Forum listserv
providing a chance to learn “best practices” from your peers and outside
experts, get updates about continuing education and other resources, and see
notices of metro area job openings in nonprofit financial management

networking directory updated throughout the year
- Other
networking opportunities such as occasional social events
